The tiger missions in FC4 lasted as long as they should without overstaying their welcome, and in no way can they support an entire game on their own. The problem is that they didn't expand on anything here. Ubisoft do like taking parts of games that players found interesting and expanding on them, which is great. If you remember the FC4 missions where you have a tiger and you tell it to attack things, that's basically the entirety of Primal. Primal is a FC4 spinoff in an interesting setting, but with most of the features missing.
I didn't notice this while playing, and that's not a damning factor on its own, but it speaks volumes about the mentality with which the devs made this game.
It's literally identical, they just modded it, and the games supposedly don't even take place in the same continent.
